At Jaykays Dance Company, our dance teachers in Leamington Spa are at the heart of everything we do. We’re more than just a dance school — we’re a close-knit community where every child is known, supported and encouraged.
Creating a safe, welcoming and family-focused environment is incredibly important to us. Therefore, all of our teaching team are fully DBS checked, insured and trained in First Aid and Safeguarding. This means your child is cared for both physically and emotionally while they learn, grow and build confidence with us.
Alongside this strong sense of care and connection, our Leamington Spa dance teachers are also highly qualified professionals. Our team are proud members of leading dance, performing arts and training organisations, including:
International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA), Acrobatic Arts, Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), Alixa Flexibility, London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), and the Council for Dance, Drama and Musical Theatre (CDMT).
The guiding force behind the school, Miss Jay (Jeren) is passionate about nurturing confident, happy performers. With a sharp eye, a kind heart and a very full to-do list, she leads Jaykays with both care and commitment.
IDTA qualified and Acrobatic Arts certified, Jeren also holds a degree in Communication. In addition, she is part of a global business coaching community for performing arts schools. Through continued learning and development, she ensures Jaykays continues to grow, evolve and offer the very best dance training in Leamington Spa.
Jeren is also a Mental Health First Aider and a proud mum to Heidi and Elliot… both budding dancers.
Above all, she leads the school with grace, grit and a true love of dance.
Connor runs a tight ship when it comes to technique — always with a smile. Correct hands and well-placed feet earn his highest praise, while his high standards are balanced with an encouraging, approachable teaching style.
Alongside his teaching career, Connor has performed professionally on cruise ships, appeared on stage in We Will Rock You in Germany and worked for Disney in Tokyo.
Connor is also an IDTA qualified dance teacher. Most recently, he was recognised by the IDTA for his excellent dance teaching exam results.
IDTA qualified and a BA (Hons) Professional Dance graduate from Dancebox, Miss Bethany truly lives and breathes performance.
Acrobatic Arts certified and a dedicated competition choreographer, she leads our Junior and Inter Performance Teams with energy, ambition and high standards. Alongside teaching, Miss Bethany continues to perform professionally with an entertainment company. As a result, she brings real industry experience into every class — practising exactly what she teaches.
Miss Olivia has a wonderfully nurturing nature, gives endless encouragement and praise and truly has the patience of a saint. You’ll find her teaching our Tiny Dancers, Mini Musical Theatre and Adult Tap classes, where she’s a master at turning complete novices into confident movers.
Miss Olivia holds a BA (Hons) in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre from Bird College and is IDTA qualified. In addition, she is a certified Pilates and Reformer Pilates instructor. This gives her a strong understanding of strength, alignment and body awareness, which she brings into every class.
Meet Miss Sam, the fearless leader of our Little Rascals! As a mum to Maisie, Tilly and Noah, she’s well trained in the fine art of handling tears, tantrums and everything in between.
With a kind heart, a nurturing nature and a big sense of fun, Miss Sam makes every dance class a happy adventure!
Our Student Teachers play an important role in classes, working alongside our key teachers to create a positive and encouraging learning environment.
Each student has trained through the ranks of Jaykays Dance School. Through their dedication, commitment and passion for dance, they have earned the opportunity to become part of our teaching team.
As a result, they are wonderful role models for our younger dancers and an important part of the Jaykays community.
