Comfortable clothing that you can move around in, and either jazz shoes or bare feet are fine. For tap wear trainers unless you have tap shoes.
Designed for committed dancers in who are ready to deepen their technical understanding and refine their classical training. These sessions focus on building strong, clean technique through structured barre and centre work, with careful attention to alignment, placement, coordination, and musicality.
Stretch and conditioning are integrated throughout the class to safely develop flexibility, strength, and control — supporting dancers as their bodies mature and their technique advances. For eligible dancers, pointe work is introduced and developed progressively, with an emphasis on safe practice, correct preparation, and long-term strength. Each dancer is guided to build stability through the feet, ankles, legs, and core, ensuring confidence and security on pointe.
These classes provide an essential foundation for dancers training alongside other styles, supporting performance quality, injury prevention, and technical excellence. Ideal for those working towards exams, performances, or vocational pathways, this class encourages discipline, focus, and artistry — helping dancers move with strength, precision, and confidence.
These classes are designed for dancers ready to strengthen their technique and expand their performance skills. Combining three complementary styles, these classes focus on refining technical ability, developing musicality, and building greater strength, control, and artistic expression.
Ballet provides the foundation — focusing on posture, alignment, strength, and control, supporting safe and efficient movement across all styles. Tap sharpens rhythm, coordination, and musical awareness, helping dancers develop timing, precision, and dynamic performance skills. Contemporary Modern Jazz brings freedom and energy, allowing dancers to explore style, dynamics, and expression while building strength, flexibility, and stamina.
Together, these disciplines create a balanced class that challenges dancers both physically and creatively. Suitable for dancers looking to strengthen their technique, expand their performance skills, and enjoy variety within their training, this class supports growth, confidence, and individuality — essential qualities for dancers progressing through their upper school years.
Our Freestyle & Acro Dance classes for Years 7–13 are high-energy, dynamic sessions designed for dancers who love to move with power, confidence, and style. This class combines commercial freestyle dance with controlled acrobatic skills, creating exciting, impactful movement ideal for performance and stage work.
Freestyle focuses on musicality, performance quality, and confidence, allowing dancers to explore current styles, sharp choreography, and individual flair. Alongside this, acro dance develops strength, flexibility, balance, and control, with dancers progressing safely through acrobatic skills that are seamlessly integrated into choreography.
Training is structured and progressive, with a strong emphasis on technique, conditioning, and safe practice. Dancers build core strength, coordination, and body awareness while learning how to transition smoothly between dance and acrobatic elements.
This class is ideal for dancers looking to challenge themselves physically, grow in confidence, and develop a bold, versatile performance style — all while maintaining strong technical foundations and safe training principles.
Designed for dancers ready to explore movement with depth, intention, and individuality. Blending strong technical foundations with creative freedom, this class encourages dancers to move beyond set steps and develop a personal connection to movement.
Classes focus on core contemporary principles including alignment, release, control, flow, and dynamics, alongside floor work, travelling movement, and expressive phrase work. Dancers are encouraged to explore musicality, texture, and emotion, developing both physical strength and artistic awareness.
Through guided improvisation and structured choreography, students build confidence in their movement choices while refining performance quality and versatility. Contemporary dance supports dancers training across multiple styles, enhancing coordination, flexibility, stamina, and expressive capability.
This class is ideal for dancers who enjoy creativity, storytelling, and physical challenge, offering a supportive environment where individuality is celebrated and artistry is developed — preparing dancers for performance, further training, and vocational pathways.
